Prep time: 20 mins | Cook time: 10 mins | Serves: 5 (2 tacos each)

These Chicken Tacos are the perfect appetizers on any occasions! I love serving these whenever my friends pay me a visit. These tacos are perfect to go with beer! Oh, man, you will surely love these bad boys! For a little kick, try adding chilli powder. Have a great one, friends. Enjoy!


1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese

2 clove garlic, minced

2 cups deli rotisserie chicken or leftover roast/baked chicken shredded

1 bunch green onion, thinly sliced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

10 medium corn tortillas

canola oil for frying


Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 425 degrees F.

Step 2: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Step 3: Add in oil and allow it to become hot.

Step 4: Add 1 tortilla at a time and fry it until the colour turns light brown. Repeat this to the rest of the tortillas.

Step 5: Place the fried tortillas in a plate lined with a paper towel to drain the excess oil.

Step 6: Place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to low.

Step 7: Add in the cream cheese and heat until melted.

Step 8: Add in the shredded chicken, green onion, garlic, and Cheddar cheese.

Step 9: Remove from the heat and stir until well mixed.

Step 10: Fill each fried tortilla with the chicken mixture.

Step 11: Put the tortillas in a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 12: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until done.

Step 13: Remove from the oven and let it sit at room temperature to cool for at least 2 minutes.

Step 14: Serve and enjoy!
